I'm starting a portrait series of sorts of different dog breeds. The picture will have the breed in it, though not necessarily in its "environment," as is implied by this photo. I just happened to be at this lake with my dog when I decided to take photos of her there.
 Breed Info: Golden Retrievers were first developed by Lord Tweedmouth, who bred his now extinct Tweed Water Spaniels, Flat-coated Retrievers, and others to create the breed. The dogs were used to retrieve game shot and killed by hunters. These dogs had to be exceptionally soft-mouthed and were bred to deliver the fowl without ruffling a single feather. Originally known simply as yellow Flat-coats, the Golden Retriever has become a popular family dog, known for its friendliness towards people, pleasant temperament, and luxurious golden coat that ranges in color from light cream to fox red.
